Is this real life?

I’ve been in Dallas for a week now, and it doesn’t really feel like I’m staying here all summer. It feels more like a weird vacation that’s dragged on a little too long haha. But I do enjoy the area. My roommate, Chelsea, and I have been exploring all the surrounding shops and grocery stores. We also joined a gym, which has been great after being at work.
I’m interning for Lewis & Ellis, an actuarial consulting firm. There are 14 total interns, most being from this area. Everyone has been really nice, and hopefully we will get more comfortable with each other and hang out outside of the office. None of us have any clue as to what is going on with work though. We’ve been going through training, and it is information overload. Our boss said it could take to month to make any sense of the project. Overall, I think I will enjoy it. It will be a great experience that’s for sure.

Can’t believe I’m leaving for Dallas tomorrow! I’m excited but still nervous at the same time. I’m not sure if I’m ready to leave home yet though…

One week and I will be in Dallas!! So excited! But very nervous too!
